Seit wir aus Island zurück sind haben wir uns der Frage gestellt, wie es mit uns und Irland weitergehen soll. Ob wir hier alt werden steht in den Sternen. Mittelfristig werden wir aber schon hier bleiben. Darum haben wir uns jetzt dazu entschlossen eine Immobilie anzuschaffen um dem irrsinnigen Mietmarkt hier zu entfliehen. Banktermine, Haus-/Wohnungssuche, ... Vom Endergebnis sind wir noch weit entfernt.
Jedoch hat jetzt die Adventszeit begonnen. Und nachdem die letztes Jahr wegen Auswandern für mich ausgefallen ist genieße ich das alles gerade umso mehr.
Immer noch inspiriert von Island werde ich euch dieses Jahr deren Weihnachtsbrauch vorstellen. Dort gibt es nämlich nicht nur einen Weihnachtsmann, sondern gleich 13! Und die werden am 12. Dezember Einzug in alle isländischen Haushalte und meinen Blog halten. Seit gespannt. Nun aber erst einmal ein schönes 2. Adventswochenende.
It was quiet within the last few months. Here on this blog nothing really happened since we returned from our last vacation. Real life is a bit different.
Since we're back from Iceland we had to face our future in Ireland. It is still written in the stars whether we're growing old over here. In the meantime we have to escape that ridiculous rental market and therefore we decided to buy a property. Bank appointments, house-hunting, ... Anyway, we're still far away from the final result.
Nevertheless the Christmas season has finally begun. And as I couldn't enjoy it last year because of our emigration I enjoy it this year even more.
Still inspired by Iceland I will bring you closer to their Christmas tradition the next days. In Iceland they don't have one Santa Claus, they have 13! These 13 buddies will start to move in every Icelandic house on the 12th December and so they will in my blog - stay tuned. But for now I wish you all a peaceful 2nd Advent weekend.
